[ARCHIVED] Curbside Leaf Collection Now Complete

December 8, 2020 – On Monday, December 7, City of Midland leaf collection crews successfully completed the final round of bulk curbside leaf collection in all areas of the city. Leaf collection is now finished for the 2020 collection season.

With collection now complete, no leaves are permitted in the street at this time. Yard waste collection in bins and Kraft paper compost bags will continue until Friday, December 11.  Residents who wish to dispose of any remaining leaves or yard waste should place items into Kraft paper compost bags or blue City yard waste bins and set them at the curb on their refuse collection day by December 11. Yard waste collection stickers are not required on bins or bags for the remainder of the 2020 collection season.

Yard waste remaining after December 11 can be taken to the Landfill or saved until Spring Free yard waste collection begins in April 2021.

The City will resume yard waste collection on the first Monday in April 2021. Please note that the City does not collect leaves from the street in the spring.
