[ARCHIVED] Apply for a Circle Community Garden Plot

February 5, 2021 – The City of Midland will begin accepting applications on Monday, February 8 for gardening plots at the Circle Community Garden, located at the intersection of Edwin and Cambridge streets.

Registration will be accepted online or in person only at the Parks and Recreation Office (4811 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland). Cost for a garden plot is $25 and is non-refundable. When applying online, gardeners should create a username and password in the system prior to opening day by visiting www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/communitygarden. Plots will sell out very quickly and are sold on a first come, first served basis. The garden holds  only 30 plots.

Gardeners who secure a plot in the organic garden will receive a prepared planting bed in which to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, or flowers. Gardeners will be responsible for purchasing their own plant material, doing their own planting, and handling the summer maintenance required, including watering and weeding.

For additional information or questions on the program, contact City Horticulturist Stephanie Richardson at srichardson@midland-mi.org or the Community Garden Manager at communitygarden@midland-mi.org
