[ARCHIVED] City Now Hiring for Dial-A-Ride Dispatch Supervisor

May 5, 2021 – The City of Midland is seeking a full-time dispatch supervisor to oversee all day-to-day operations of its curb-to-curb on-demand bus service, Dial-A-Ride. This position interacts regularly with riders to answer questions and resolve issues; hires and trains new team members; and supervises an amazing, diverse team of more than 40 transit professionals.

Features of the position include a close-knit team work environment, an excellent benefits package, a consistent first-shift Monday through Friday work schedule, and a pay rate up to $29 per hour.

Applicants must have a valid Michigan driver’s license with a good driving record and either possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Class C CDL with passenger endorsement. Previous transportation/transit management experience is preferred, but not required. The ability to effectively communicate with team members and riders, excellent organizational skills, and proven decision-making in an emergency are vital to the success of this position.
