August 5, 2021 – Wheeler Street is currently closed to all through traffic at the intersection with Congress Drive as crews perform a water main installation within the construction zone.
During this closure, both eastbound and westbound through traffic will be detoured around the construction area using Waldo Avenue, E. Ashman Street, and Swede Avenue.
Wheeler is anticipated to reopen to eastbound traffic and remain closed to westbound traffic by the end of the day on Wednesday, August 5. The Wheeler Street reconstruction and water main replacement project is estimated to be completed in October 2021.
