August 20, 2021 – The City of Midland invites community members to join its Planning department staff for a stroll through the Huron Park neighborhood area on Thursday, September 2 as an interactive part of the Midland City Modern master planning process.
During the half-mile walk along Perrine Road, Moorland Drive, and Cook Playground, attendees are encouraged to share what they see, feel, and experience and discuss their visions for the future of the community. Topics will include items related to healthy neighborhoods, walkability, building accessibility, and the impact design has on livability, home values, safety, the environment, and social connections.
The walk will begin and end in the parking lot of Cook Playground (formerly Cook Elementary School), 5500 Perrine Road. The walk will depart at approximately 5:35 p.m. and return by 6:30 p.m. A map of the walking route is available at City Hall, 333 W. Ellsworth Street, and at www.midlandcitymodern.com under “News & Events”.
Additional Midland Moves events like this one will be planned in other neighborhoods in the future.
