[ARCHIVED] Celebrate National Library Card Sign-up Month at Library

August 27, 2021 – In celebration of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library encourages community members without a library card to sign up and see how #LibrariesEmpower the community!

Beginning September 1 and continuing throughout the month, the Library will hold weekly drawings for new cardholders. In total, three lucky kids and three lucky adults will each win a Kindle Fire. Current cardholders who refer friends that sign up for a new card or renew an expired library card will also receive an entry into the weekly Kindle drawing.

All current cardholders will be entered into a separate drawing each time they use their card at the Library or access the Library’s digital services online during the month of September. At the end of the month, ten library card users will be drawn to win Library swag and other awesome prizes.

“I really want to thank our community for their support and patience over this past year,” said Library Director Miriam Andrus. “We’re glad to be back open for in-person service. Libraries empower their communities, and we invite you to find out what a GADML library card can do for you.”

To learn more about getting and using a library card, visit www.gadml.org/librarycard. Patrons can find upcoming events at the Library, sign up for the GADML bi-weekly newsletter, and learn about exciting activities during National Library Card Sign-Up Month at www.gadml.org

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is located at 1710 W. St. Andrews Rd and is a service of the City of Midland. For more information or to learn more about the Library, call 989-837-3449 or visit www.gadml.org.
