March 5, 2015 – The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is offering two unique programs in the coming week: the first focusing on math; and the second, a family variety show.
On Monday, March 9, students in kindergarten through 5th grade can discover how much fun math can be with fun, hands-on activities. Drop in any time between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. in Youth Services to explore geometry with glow-in-the-dark sticks, learn about physics with flying marshmallows, and delve into statistics with bouncy dice. This event is part of the Library’s monthly KidVentures program.
On Sunday, March 15, the Library will host the Joel Tacey Variety Show at 2 p.m. in the Library Auditorium. You’ll experience dazzling juggling, wacky stunts, and amazing gadgets. It will be interactive, engaging, and feature a lot of surprises. All ages are welcome to this free show.
These programs are helping to launch Happenings 2015 in March and April. The theme is “Yes You Can @ the Library.”
