[ARCHIVED] Currie Parkway Bridge Closed Until Further Notice

Traffic cones

The Currie Parkway Bridge is closed until further notice after an oversized vehicle exceeding the 10,000-pound posted weight limit crossed the bridge earlier today.  The bridge will remain closed until a safety inspection is conducted and safe clearance authorized.

The Currie Parkway Bridge was closed in November 2018 following structural damage caused by an oversized vehicle.  The bridge reopened in July 2019 to eastbound one-way traffic only.

For more information, contact City Engineering at 989-837-3348. Updates as to the reopening of the bridge will be shared via local media, the City of Midland Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofmidlandmi and on Twitter at @CityofMidlandMI.
