[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Holly Jolly Days December 4-5 & 11-12

November 19, 2021 – Get in the spirit of the holiday season and enjoy a festive shopping experience during Holly Jolly Days in Downtown Midland December 4 – 5 and 11 – 12  from 12 – 4 p.m. Find special holiday shopping deals, view beautifully-painted holiday window displays, cozy up by the outdoor fireplaces while enjoying a Commons beverage, and participate in family festivities. 

This year, Holly Jolly Days will return to its original two weekend event. Activities include:

Free horse-drawn carriage rides: Take a wonderful ride down Main Street. The pick-up will be located in front of the H Hotel. 

Free hot chocolate: Hot chocolate drinks will be available at WhichCraft Taproom and Heather ‘n Holly. Complimentary candy canes will also be provided at Serendipity Road and Joyful Tantrum.

Empty Canvas: Join Empty Canvas as they paint a winter Christmas scene of Main Street while they sing holiday music on Saturday, December 4 from 12 – 3 p.m. in the Northwood Idea Center. The completed painting will be up for grabs in an online silent auction with all proceeds used to fund future Downtown Midland events.

Gift wrapping: Northwood University's DECA program will have a gift wrapping station set up in the Northwood Idea Center as a fundraising opportunity during Holly Jolly Days. Proceeds will help cover the cost of the organization’s competitions and events.

Shopping savings: Guests who spend at least $25 at a participating Holly Jolly Days location will receive a $5 gift coupon or similar offer. Participating locations include Ace Hardware & Sports, Bliss Bridal Boutique, Coyer Candle Co., Elodie Boutique, Gift of Hope Boutique, Grape Beginnings Winery, Great Lakes Loons Loft, Health Hut, Heather ‘n Holly, Imagine That!, Joyful Tantrum, Little Forks Outfitters, O’MACARON, Peel ‘n Pare, Pizza Sam’s, Serendipity Road, Swae’ Spa, Ways to Wellness, and Willow Classic Ladies Apparel.

Coupons will be available in the Midland Daily News Thanksgiving edition. Residents can also download and print the coupon from starting December 1. The coupon must be in physical paper form for businesses to accept.
