[ARCHIVED] Beach Volleyball Serves Up Summertime Fun

March 27, 2015 – Midland Parks and Recreation Department will begin accepting beach volleyball team and player registrations for the 2015 summer season on Monday, April 6.

Midland Parks and Recreation’s beach volleyball leagues will begin on Monday, June 1. The eight-week season will be played at Stratford Woods Park, Monday through Thursday with games occurring between 6-8 p.m. Teams will only play on the night of their choosing. There will be no games played the week prior to July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

IMPROVED REGISTRATION! We have a new program for registering online with no additional processing fees at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/beachvolleyball. In addition, you can register in person or by mail at the Parks and Recreation office. Registration is first-come, first-serve and leagues will fill. Each team must have the minimum number of players registered by Friday, May 15 (ex., two players for a two-man team) in order to be scheduled into a league. Additional players can sign up anytime throughout the season but must be registered before they play.

For additional information or assistance, call the Parks and Recreation Office, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 989-837-6930 or email them at recreation@midland-mi.org.
