[ARCHIVED] Positions Available on Board of Review

January 25, 2022 – The Midland City Council is accepting applications to fill two (2) open positions on the Board of Review.  One position will fill an unexpired term to end April 30, 2022 and the second position will fill an unexpired term to end April 30, 2023.

The Board of Review meets for the purpose of hearing appeals on the assessed value of property by property owners. The board meets three times per year: once in July, once in December, and a third time for five to ten days in March to hear property tax appeals Board members are appointed by the City Council.

Applicants must be taxpayers to the City of Midland and have been residents of the City for not less than three years.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 4, 2022 at 5 p.m.  An application form can be found online at or by requesting a hard copy form through the City Manager’s Office, 333 W. Ellsworth Street. Selected applicants will be contacted to interview with City Council.
