[ARCHIVED] Shining Stars Talent Show Returns to MCTV Network

Spotlights that are yellow, green, and pink

January 27, 2022 – Midland residents with special talents, star-quality stage presence, or weird human tricks: It’s your time to shine! The MCTV Network is set to record its 11th annual Shining Stars Talent Show on Saturday, March 12 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Entrants will be given up to 30 minutes to set up and deliver a 3 – 5 minute performance. Performances can include singing, dancing, playing an instrument, creating a hand-drawn masterpiece, juggling, and more. After the show airs, viewers can vote for their favorite Shining Star by sending an email to mctvinfo@midland-mi.org, sending a message to MCTV’s Facebook page, or by commenting on the YouTube video. The entrant with the most votes will receive a message board on Community Messages, a Facebook recognition, and may have an opportunity to perform for a live audience at MCTV's Honors Night in November 2022.

The completed program will be televised on MCTV via Charter Spectrum channel 191 and AT&T U-verse channel 99; available on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire Stick devices via the MCTV Network app; streamed live and on-demand at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/livestream; and posted on the MCTV Network Community Voices YouTube channel.
