In-person, phone, or virtual video conference appointments will be accepted in an effort to expedite your appeal and eliminate long waits to meet with the Board. An appeal may also be made by letter or by email if received by the Board no later than March 17, 2022 at 5 p.m.
The meeting schedule is as follows:
- Monday, March 14: 12 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 15: 12 – 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 16: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Thursday, March 17: 12 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.

An appeal before the March 2022 Board of Review is required for further right of appeal to the Michigan Tax Tribunal. An appeal to the Tribunal will only be accepted if an appeal is first made to the local Board of Review. Beginning in 2007, commercial, industrial, developmental, and utility property may be appealed directly to the Tribunal without protest before the Board of Review, as provided for by P.A. 174 of 2006.
Residents who would like to make an appointment to speak with the Board in person, by phone, or by virtual video conference or have questions about the 2022 Board of Review process should contact the City Assessor’s office at 989-837-3334.
