February 23, 2022 – Wheeler Street will be closed to traffic from Tucker Street to Morning Way on several dates over the next week as City of Midland Forestry crews perform tree trimming activities.

Crews will be working on Thursday, February 24; Monday, February 28; and Tuesday, March 1, weather permitting. Work is estimated to begin at 8 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m. each day. Once work has been completed each day, Wheeler Street will reopen to vehicle traffic.

Westbound traffic on Wheeler Street will be detoured around the closure using Jefferson Avenue to Sylvan Lane (north) or W. Meadowbrook Drive (south). Eastbound traffic on heading onto Wheeler Street from N. Saginaw Road will be detoured using Saginaw Road to W. Meadowbrook Drive. Detours will be signed. Traffic delays are expected and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes around the closure. See a map below for more information.
