May 6, 2022 – The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is pleased to announce that, after months of supply shortages and shipping delays, the Library will receive replacement shelves for the Youth Services area this month. As soon as the new shelving has been delivered and installed, staff will begin working immediately to reorganize the Library.

To allow for shelving construction and reorganization, the building will be closed to the public from Friday, May 20 through Saturday, June 4. The Library will reopen for regular business hours at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 6. Stay tuned to the Library’s newsletter and social media channels for more information about the special grand reopening celebration.

Although the building will be closed for browsing and item checkout, the Library will be hosting its Summer Reading Kickoff outdoors in the Library parking lot on Friday, June 3 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will also conduct its Used Book Sale from Thursday, June 2 through Saturday, June 4. The Friends will stop taking donations from Friday, May 20 through Sunday, June 5. For sale hours and information about the Friends group, please visit gadml.org/friends or facebook.com/fogadml.
