[ARCHIVED] Bid Online for City of Midland Surplus Equipment

January 31, 2014 – Cars, trucks, and other commercial items and equipment no longer needed by the City of Midland are being sold via an online auction service.

The City is now using GOVDEALS Surplus Auction to sell its surplus items. The online auction replaces the annual “live” auction that previously occurred each fall in Midland.

Items are currently up for auction, and additional items will be placed online over the next several months. Items up for bid include vehicles of various makes and models plus construction and shop equipment. For a list of auction items from the City of Midland, visit the GovDeals website. Registered bidders can choose to be notified by email when items in over 100 categories are listed for auction.

Terms of sale and fees may vary and will be part of each item listing. All payments will be made through the GOVDEALS website.

Revenue generated from the auction becomes part of the City of Midland General Fund and Equipment Revolving Fund.

All items include a contact person for specific inquiries. For questions about the auction process itself, contact the City of Midland Purchasing Department at 989-837-3331.
