Landfill Disposal, Service Fees to Increase July 1, 2022

June 17, 2022 – City of Midland Landfill users are reminded that disposal fees and special services fees at the Landfill will increase effective July 1, 2022. 

Current and future fees for select waste types are as follows: 

Waste Type

Fee through June 30, 2022

Fee effective July 1, 2022

Passenger car tires

$5 each

$10 each

Truck tires

$10 each

$10 each

Heavy equipment tires

$15 each

$30 each

Residential self-haul refuse

$5.50/cubic yard

$12/cubic yard

Yard waste

$3/cubic yard

$4/cubic yard

Demolition material

$10/cubic yard

$12/cubic yard

Appliances

$7 each

$15 each

 

For a complete list of all fee changes, please visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/landfill.  

These fee increases mark the first increase to Landfill pricing in 30 years and were approved by the Midland City Council on April 25, 2022 to account for inflation and increased operational costs. 

Midland County residents may dispose of up to three (3) cubic yards of household refuse or yard waste from their personal residences per month in a single visit at no charge. Proof of Midland County residency is required.
