[ARCHIVED] Eastman Project Starts Monday

A seven-month project to reconstruct a portion of the US-10 Business Route in the city of Midland will begin Monday, April 20, weather permitting.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) project will involve rebuilding Eastman Avenue, Buttles Street, and Indian Street from Jerome Street to just north of Saginaw Road. The entire road surface along with curb and gutter and storm sewer will be replaced.

In conjunction with the project, the City of Midland will replace water main and sanitary sewer along a portion of the route.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the duration of the project. Motorists should use caution and watch for traffic backups when traveling though the construction area. Work is expected to be complete by November.

As the project progresses, information will be posted on the City's Facebook page for 2015 construction projects. Like us at www.facebook.com/midlandconstruction for updates.
