[ARCHIVED] City Offices, Services Closed for Labor Day

August 26, 2022 – All City of Midland offices, non-emergency services, and the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed on Monday, September 5 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Residents with Monday and Tuesday refuse and Monday and Tuesday Week 1 recycling collections should place items at the curb on Tuesday, September 6. Items should be placed at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection. 

The City of Midland Sanitary Landfill will be closed on Labor Day, but will have normal hours on Saturday, September 3 from 8:30 a.m. - noon. 

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 5. The building will reopen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6. New fall and winter hours will also be in effect beginning September 6: Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.  – 7:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Dial-A-Ride Transportation will not operate on Labor Day; however, buses will run during normal Saturday and Sunday hours of operation on September 3 and 4.

Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended on Labor Day.
