September 9, 2022 – Phone service to some City of Midland facilities will be temporarily unavailable for a short time period over the weekend as a portion of the City’s fiber network is moved due to construction activities.

Temporary outages are anticipated to begin around 9 p.m. on Friday, September 9 and end by 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 10. During this time, the following facilities will be temporarily unavailable by phone: Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Landfill, Midland Civic Arena, Municipal Service Center, Washington Woods, Midland Law Enforcement Center, and Midland Fire Department Stations 1 and 3.

It is unknown at what time and for how long each of the facilities named above will be impacted. On-call and after-hours call routing and phone service to Central Dispatch 911 will be unaffected. Residents should contact 911 in case of emergency.
