[ARCHIVED] Wackerly and Waldo Construction Begins Monday

April 29, 2015 – Two major road projects in the city of Midland will begin on Monday, May 4.

Waldo Road will be closed from Wheeler Street to Diamond Drive while crews start work on the installation of storm and sanitary sewer plus water main to serve a future residential development north of the US-10 highway. Detours will be posted to direct motorists around the closure using Waldo, Letts, Midland-Bay Road, and Wheeler streets. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.

Reconstruction of Wackerly Street between Jefferson and Swede avenues will impact traffic flow in the area. Wackerly will be open for local and business traffic. Through traffic should follow a posted detour route to get around construction zones. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June.

As projects progress, information and maps will be posted on the City of Midland Facebook and Twitter pages. Like us at facebook.com/midlandconstruction and follow us at twitter.com/cityofmidlandmi for updates.
