[ARCHIVED] Fall Free Yard Waste Collection Begins October 3

September 23, 2022  The City of Midland will offer Fall Free yard waste collection beginning October 3 through the remainder of the 2022 yard waste collection season. During this free period, 40-cent per bag stickers and annual yard waste bin stickers are not required. 

Resident are asked to refrain from raking leaves to the street until bulk curbside collection begins later in October. Curbside collection of leaves will begin after significant leaf fall has occurred citywide, which is typically late October.  

Weekly yard waste is collected in kraft paper compost bags or 95-gallon yard waste bins on your regular refuse collection day. Yard waste includes grass clippings, leaves, garden waste, and small twigs and branches.
