October 28, 2022 – After receiving nearly 300 name submissions, it’s time to name the plows! The community voting round of the City’s Name the Plow contest is now open at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/nametheplow.
Now through Friday, November 4 at 5 p.m., residents can cast their vote for their favorite plow name from a list of 20 staff-selected options. The six names with the most community votes will be assigned to a member of the City’s snow removal fleet. Winning names will be announced and winners notified on Monday, November 21, 2022.
Visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/nametheplow to vote! Residents without internet access can contact the Community Affairs office at 989-837-3307 to cast a vote.
