[ARCHIVED] Pitch, Hit & Run Competition Rescheduled For May 17

May 15, 2015 – The City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department is rescheduling the 2015 Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for Sunday, May 17. This year’s event will take place at Emerson Park’s Currie Stadium from 1-3 p.m.

The competition will feature pitching, hitting (from a stationary tee), and running abilities. The event is free of charge and will consist of four age groups (7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14), with girls and boys competing separately. Age will be determined as of July 17, 2015.

No pre-registration is necessary for the event. A parent/guardian-signed registration form must be completed. This can be downloaded prior to the competition at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/phr or on site.

Participants can compete at any time from 1-3p.m. Winners will be notified after the event. Winners must be able to provide a birth certificate within three days of competition.

No metal spikes allowed.
