[ARCHIVED] Indian Street to Be Two-Way Road Until July

May 21, 2015 – Beginning Tuesday, May 26, Buttles Street between Jerome Street and Eastman Avenue will be closed for a month while crews continue work on the Eastman road reconstruction project. During work, Indian Street will be converted to a two-way street to accommodate Buttles traffic. Buttles is expected to be reopened by early July.

Motorists should use caution and watch for traffic backups when traveling through the construction area.

This leg of the project is part of a seven-month Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) project to rebuild a portion of the US-10 Business Route in the city of Midland. The entire road surface along with curb and gutter, water main, and storm and sanitary sewer will be replaced during the process.

As work progresses, information will be posted on the City of Midland Facebook and Twitter pages. Like us at facebook.com/MidlandConstruction and follow us at twitter.com/cityofmidlandmi for updates.

For more information, contact MDOT at 989-773-7756.
