Upcoming Events at Jack Barstow Airport

April 14, 2023 – The Jack Barstow Municipal Airport invites residents to stop by this summer for a series of fun, family-friendly activities and events. 

Food Trucks at the Airport
Grab a mid-day bite to eat at the Jack Barstow Municipal Airport this summer during upcoming ‘Food Trucks at the Airport’ events. 

Food will be available from the following food trucks on these dates: 

  • Friday, May 19 – NOM NOM Ninja
  • Friday, June 2 – Proper Taco
  • Friday, June 9 – NOM NOM Ninja
  • Friday, July 21 – Proper Taco
  • Friday, July 28 – NOM NOM Ninja
  • Friday, August 11 – Zachzilla
  • Friday, August 18 – Proper Taco
  • Friday, August 25 – NOM NOM Ninja 

Trucks will be located in the terminal parking lot and will serve from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. or while food supplies last. 

Story Hour at the Airport
Pint-sized pilots and their flight crews are invited to enjoy stories, snacks, and fun on the second Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. Children ages 2 – 5 can listen to two aviation or space-themed books and enjoy a light snack and craft activity. Registration is not required and all story times are free. 

75th Anniversary Celebration
Celebrate 75 years of aviation service to the community on Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Flying Trout Catering will provide food items for purchase and local band Coleman Road will provide musical entertainment from 12 – 3 p.m. Bring the family to enjoy the picnic area, learn about all things flight in the Midland Community Aviation Discovery Area, and see your local airport up close.
