[ARCHIVED] City Offices, Services Closed September 4 for Labor Day

August 25, 2023 – All City of Midland offices, facilities, and non-emergency services will be closed on Monday, September 4 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. 

Residents with Monday and Tuesday refuse and Monday and Tuesday Week 1 recycling collections should place items at the curb on Tuesday, September 5. Items should be placed at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.  

The City of Midland Sanitary Landfill will be closed on Saturday, September 2 and Monday, September 4. Its September Saturday hours will be held Saturday, September 9 from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed on Monday, September 4. The building will reopen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5. 

Dial-A-Ride Transportation will not operate on Labor Day; however, buses will run during normal Saturday and Sunday hours of operation on September 2 and 3. 

Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended on Labor Day.
