[ARCHIVED] Start off your Summer with a POW! at the Superhero Training Academy

June 12, 2015 – Look up in the sky! What’s that over Plymouth Park? It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s Superhero Training Academy! The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library and Midland Parks and Recreation are teaming up to offer an incredible array of activities for children from preschool to 10th grade to test their mental and physical skills on Wednesday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Plymouth Park.

Superheroes-in-training will have the opportunity to test their ability levels at skill stations featuring the special talents of popular superheroes. Are you as agile as Spiderman? Do you have the aim of Captain America? Are you as quick as The Flash? You can test and train to do all these amazing things and more. Aren’t really into leaping over tall buildings in a single bound? Superheroes aren’t merely brawn, so enjoy the intelligence and creative skills stations that will boost brain power and show off your artistic flair. Spend the afternoon outside leaping and learning your way to earning a stamp of approval from the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library and Midland Parks and Recreation.

Want to add another level of super to the day? All enrollees are invited to come dressed as their favorite superhero and practice their posing skills in the photo booth station.

In the event of rain, activities will still be held, but limited to the pavilion area.
Check out Grace A. Dow Memorial Library’s Youth Services and Midland Parks and Recreation’s websites for all the fun and exciting activities you and your child can explore this summer!
