[ARCHIVED] Ashman Street Closed at Union October 16-18

October 12, 2023 – Ashman Street will be closed to through traffic from Union Street to E. Grove Street beginning Monday, October 16 for utility work related to the Grove Park Changing Places restroom project. 

During construction, through traffic on Ashman will be detoured around the closure using Union, Gordon Street, and Grove Street. Access to businesses within the closure area will be maintained while work is underway. Please drive with caution when accessing a destination within the construction zone. 

Ashman is anticipated to reopen to through traffic by end of day on Friday, October 18. Should weather or other factors delay this timeline, work will be scheduled for October 23 – 25.

Residents are reminded that due to the nature of construction activities, the information provided above may change at any time. Should an issue arise that would change this schedule, the City will provide updates via its social media channels (@CityofMidlandMI) and via project-specific emails which can be accessed via the link above.
