January 3, 2014 – Check out the Midland Police Department’s new free mobile application for your handheld devices.
The Midland Police Department hopes to use this app to improve lines of communication with the community. People will have more open access to information from the department, and will be able to get important information and tips to officers in a simple, timely fashion.
The Midland Police Department will use the app to send information to the community like press releases, crime-related activities, missing person reports and information on wanted subjects. Through the app you can also submit police-related concerns, anonymously or with contact information, and access the Midland Police Department directory to contact specific officers or divisions of the department. With the Commend button, you can tell officers and their supervisors when you feel they have gone above and beyond.
The app is available through the Apple App Store; an Android App version will be available soon. To find the app, go to the Apple App Store and search “Midland Police Department.” From there, download the free app your mobile device.
