Zombie Apocalypse Nearing Midland with a 5K Trail Run

October 2, 2015 – Local authorities have confirmed that a zombie outbreak has occurred in the United States, and the outbreak is nearing Midland at an alarming rate. Anticipated arrival is Saturday, October 17 at approximately 3:30 p.m., during Midland’s 5K Zombie Trail Run/Walk.

All known survivors are advised to head to the compound known as City Forest for further instructions on safety and survival during the Run/Walk taking place that day. Each survivor will receive a zombie survival kit upon check-in. While at the compound your physical endurance and stamina may be tested for the survival of the fittest as zombies may be lurking in surrounding areas.

It is unknown how many humans will be left on earth by this time, so let us know that you haven't been infected by registering soon for the October 17 run.

The fee for zombie survival is $35, and survivors can register at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/zombierun.

Zombie survival is brought to you by the City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department and the ROCK Center for Youth Development. Questions may be directed to the Midland Parks and Recreation Department by calling 989-837-6930 or e-mailing the office at recreation@midland-mi.org.
