[ARCHIVED] Eastman Avenue Project Nearing an End

October 28, 2015 - Contractors are getting closer to finishing Michigan Department of Transportation’s seven-month-long Eastman Avenue reconstruction project.

This Thursday, October 29 through Saturday, October 31, motorists should be on the lookout for closures of the westerly legs of Sugnet and St. Andrews streets at their intersection with Eastman. On those days, crews will be laying down the final layers of pavement on the southbound lanes of Eastman.

Next week, final paving will begin on the northbound lanes from Saginaw Road to Jerome Street. Motorists should expect intersection closures on the east side of Eastman along the construction route while that work is taking place.

The Eastman Avenue project is expected to be complete by Friday, November 6, weather permitting.

As this project continues, information will be posted on City of Midland Facebook and Twitter pages. Like us at facebook.com/MidlandConstruction and follow us at twitter.com/cityofmidlandmi for updates.
