[ARCHIVED] Board Positions Available on Center City Authority

March 4, 2016 – The Midland City Manager is accepting applications to fill two four-year terms on the Center City Authority (CCA).

The board is looking to fill two members-at-large positions that will expire June 30, 2020. These are new positions added to increase the seven-member board to a nine-member board.

The CCA establishes development and tax increment financing (TIF) plans to prevent deterioration and encourage economic development within the Saginaw Road commercial corridor. This corridor is located on Saginaw Road in an area just north of the Circle from Manor Drive to Patrick Road on the southern boundary. The CCA manages the TIF revenues generated in the area and invests them back to the district through marketing, physical improvements, and aesthetic enhancements.

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016. Forms are located on the City of Midland website, www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/boardscommissions or in hard copy form through the City Manager’s Office, 333 W. Ellsworth St. Applicants may be property or business owners in the district or simply have an interest in moving the district forward in its goals and responsibilities.

Please contact the City Manager’s office at 989-837-3301 with any questions.
