Reminders are as follows:

Section 3-17 of the Code of Ordinances states: It shall be unlawful for any person to permit or allow any dog, whether licensed or unlicensed, to run at large or stray beyond the premises of such owner unless under reasonable control of some person.

Section 3-18 states: No person shall harbor or keep any dog which by loud or frequent or habitual barking, yelping or howling shall cause a serious annoyance to the neighborhood or to the people passing to and fro upon the streets.

Section 3-19 states: No person shall harbor or keep any dog which shall create an unpleasant odor in the neighborhood.

Section 10-16 states: No person shall throw, deposit or cause to be deposited litter on any occupied private property within the city, whether owned by such person or not. The owner or person in control of private property may maintain authorized private receptacles for collection in such a manner that litter will be prevented from being carried or deposited by the elements upon any street, sidewalk or other public place or upon private property.

While at any of our parks, please note this rule from the City’s Park Rules & Regulations:

Section 10: It shall be unlawful for any person to permit or allow any dog or other animal, whether licensed or unlicensed, to run at large or stray beyond the premises of such owner unless under reasonable control of some person. All littering from the animal shall be removed from any City park and properly disposed of. This also includes Currie Golf Course and its adjacent properties. (Reference – Midland Code of Ordinances – Sec. 3-17, Sec. 3-19 and 10-16) (Amended May 7, 2001)
