[ARCHIVED] Midland Residents Hold the Key to Unlock the BEST SECRET GARDENS in Midland!

June 10, 2016 – Nominate a friend, a neighbor or even someone you don’t know for the first-ever Secret Garden Contest!

The Secret Garden Contest is an opportunity to raise awareness for the America in Bloom Competition in the City of Midland by allowing residents to nominate their favorite garden in the City of Midland. Gardens do not need to be viewable by a street or right-of-way.

Nominations will be accepted now through August 1, 2016 in conjunction with the 2016 Appreciation of Beautification Awards (ABA) Program. The winner of the Secret Garden contest will be honored at the annual ABA Awards which will take place in November.

Pictures of your favorite secret garden and completion of a nomination form are required and can be submitted electronically at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/americainbloom! or can be sent directly to Parks and Recreation, c/o Marcie Post, 4811 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland, MI 48640. Nomination forms are also available from Parks and Recreation, City Hall or the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library.

For more information on this program, please contact Parks and Recreation at recreation@midland-mi.org or by phone at 989-837-6930.
