June 17, 2016 – Having completed its first round of public input sessions earlier this month, the Midland Downtown Development Authority (DDA) invites community members to review initial design concepts and provide feedback for the downtown streetscape redevelopment project during two engaging sessions on Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24, 2016.
On Thursday, June 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., citizens are invited to the suite level of Dow Diamond for an interactive workshop to review first-draft conceptual right-of-way designs developed from community input. Attendees can view potential design concepts, provide feedback, and ask questions. On Friday, June 24, the SmithGroupJJR design team will welcome the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 144 Ashman Street (corner of Larkin and Ashman Streets) to watch their designers in action! Community input is also encouraged at this event. To reserve a seat for the June 23 design review, contact Selina Tisdale at (989) 837-3304 or sign up online at http://bit.ly/DDA623. RSVPs are not required, but are appreciated for space and planning purposes. Citizens who can’t attend an update session in person are invited to review concepts and share input online through E-City Hall at http://bit.ly/streetscape16.
