[ARCHIVED] Jefferson Avenue Bridge to Close for MDOT Construction

Detour map for Jefferson Avenue construction

July 1, 2016 – Beginning Wednesday, July 6, MDOT will close the US 10 overpass at Jefferson Avenue for bridge deck repairs and overlay. This construction will also affect lane closures on US 10 at that location.

A detour route will be posted by MDOT, but City engineers recommend that motorists consider utilizing the Waldo Avenue or Sturgeon Avenue overpasses for travel north of US 10. A map of suggested alternate routes can be found at http://bit.ly/jeffersonave.

Motorists traveling through this area should expect significant delays and congestion, particularly through the Eastman corridor. The project is expected to be completed by Tuesday July 19, 2016.

For more information, contact City Engineering at 989-837-3348 or view project updates at http://bit.ly.midlandroads. Updates will also be shared on the City of Midland Construction Facebook page at facebook.com/midlandconstruction and on Twitter at @CityofMidlandMI.
