July 22, 2016 – Midland’s Beautification Advisory Committee would like you to nominate a friend, neighbor, or even someone you don’t know for doing an outstanding job of making Midland more beautiful. Properties may be nominated for a 2016 Appreciation of Beautification Award in the categories of Landscaping Accomplishments Structural/Site Improvements and new this year, the Secret Garden Contest.
In addition, nominations will be accepted for the Bette R. Tollar Civic Commitment Award, which recognizes major beautification accomplishments that benefit the community as a whole. Properties within the city are eligible for awards.
Nomination forms will be accepted until August 1, and are available at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, City Hall, and the Municipal Service Center or on the City of Midland website at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/beautification.
Recipients of this year’s awards will be recognized and honored at a ceremony in November.
