August 12, 2016 – Local authorities have confirmed that a zombie outbreak has occurred in the United States and the outbreak is nearing Midland at an alarming rate. Anticipated arrival is Saturday, October 15 at approximately 4:13 p.m. All known survivors are advised to head to the compound formerly known as City Forest for further instructions on safety and survival. Each survivor will receive a zombie survival kit upon checking into the compound. While at the compound your physical endurance and stamina may be tested for the survival of the fittest as zombies may be lurking in surrounding areas.
We don't know how many humans will be left on earth by this time, so let us know that you haven't been infected by registering so we can expect your arrival on the 15th. The fee for Zombie Survival is $35, but an early bird rate of $25 is available until September 16. Survivors can register at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/zombierun.
Zombie survival is brought to you by the City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department and the Rock Center 4 Youth Development. Questions may be directed to the City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department by calling 989-837-6930 or e-mailing the office at recreation@midland-mi.org.
