August 26, 2016 – The US 10 overpass at Jefferson Avenue will be closed from August 29th through 31st as MDOT completes final bridge work. This construction will also affect lane closures on US 10 at that location.
Motorists may utilize the same posted detour route that was used during the July construction; however, because the Waldo Avenue overpass is restricted to one lane at this time, City engineers suggest using E. Ashman and Rockwell Drive as an alternative route for travel north and south of US 10. A map of suggested alternate routes is included with this release.
Motorists traveling through this area should expect significant delays and congestion. The project is expected to be completed by Wednesday, August 31.
