[ARCHIVED] Kiwassee Lake in Stratford Woods Park to Close for One Day

September 9, 2016 – The City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department will close Kiwassee Lake in Stratford Woods Park on Monday, September 12.

To combat weeds in Kiwassee Lake at Stratford Park, Parks and Recreation will be starting herbicide application on Monday, September 12 (weather permitting). This will require closure of the lake, which includes all water contact (swimming, fishing, etc.) for this day only. Signage is posted on site.

For safety reasons, people and animals are encouraged to stay out of the water.
