October 21, 2016 – Have you visited the Farmer's Market and marveled at the many different types of apples we enjoy in this area? Would you like to taste one of these apples?
Come to the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library on Wednesday, October 26 for a program presented by Terry Moore, the owner of Moore Orchards. You’ll learn about the best of both old and new varieties of apples that are grown in the Great Lakes Bay Region, both for eating out-of-hand and for baking. The program will also include an opportunity to taste dozens of varieties and take home a sample of eating and baking apples grown at Moore Orchards. This free lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Auditorium.
The Library is located at 1710 W. St. Andrews Road in Midland. For more information, contact the Library at 989-837-3430 or go to: www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/library.
