December 16, 2016 – Applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding are now available for the 2017-2018 program year.
CDBG is a federally funded program through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Each year, the City of Midland receives CDBG funds to support activities that further the objectives of the federal program. Goals are to provide decent housing, establish and maintain a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities, all primarily benefiting low- and very low-income residents of the city.
Any organization interested in applying for funding must submit a Subrecipient Funding Application to the City of Midland Planning Department. Applications are available online via www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/planning.
Applications are due by 5 p.m., January 27, 2017 and can be submitted to the Planning Department via mail or email to gmurschel@midland-mi.org. Submissions by mail should be sent to 333 W. Ellsworth Street, Midland, Michigan 48640 with “CDBG Funding Application” in the address line.
