Kayla Ripley has served as the City Assessor since September 2018. Ripley began her career with the City as a clerk in the Assessor’s Office from 2008 to 2010 and was hired as the City’s Assessing Manager in October 2014 before being promoted to City Assessor.
She holds certification as a Michigan Master Assessing Officer (4) from the State of Michigan. In addition, Ripley holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration from Central Michigan University, and is a member of the Michigan Assessors Association and the North East Michigan Assessors Association.
